Report Feed Service
Introduction
To facilitate the integration of our reports into other systems, Oxford Economics offers an automated feed service to report subscribers. When you take advantage of this service, our reports are sent to your nominated FTP server whenever they are published to www.oxfordeconomics.com.
What do we send?
Each delivery consists of a .zip file containing one or more report files, each with a corresponding metadata file.
Reports are typically in .pdf format, but other formats may be used depending on the type of report. The name of each report file is based on its contents and the publication date.
File-naming conventions are liable to change; we advise that you don't rely on being able to parse anything from the file names.
Instead, please use the corresponding metadata.
Metadata files have the same name as the report they describe and the extension .xml. We use RIXML to represent report metadata.
Reports are typically batched into deliveries by type. In some cases, they may be further grouped (e.g. by geographic region).
Report-grouping conventions are liable to change; we advise that your receiving process makes no assumptions in this respect.
An example delivery might look like this:
- CEF_20181212.zip
- |_ URUGDB20181221.pdf
- |_ URUGDB20181221.xml
- |_ BRAZDB20181221.pdf
- |_ BRAZDB20181221.xml
What kinds of report metadata are available?
For each report, we provide:
- Title
- Abstract
- Synopsis
- Publication date
- Report type
For certain types of reports, we include additional properties. For example, for Country Economic Forecasts, we also provide:
- Product focus (Country)
- Country
How are the files transferred?
Files can be sent to your nominated server via FTP, SFTP or FTPS. If you need to whitelist the originating IP address, please use the following:
-
Production: 20.90.239.20
-
Testing: 20.108.144.4
When are the files transferred?
This depends on the report type, but the transfer typically takes place either as soon as the report is published or at the end of the same day.
Which types of reports are included?
We can send any of the report types in your subscription. When requesting an automated feed, please let us know which you would like to include.
